Update from Decatur, AL

We are doing ok in Decatur. Still without power, although a neighbor is going house to house with a generator and letting folks hook up their freezers for a couple of hours. He said he'll come back to our house tomorrow morning. 1 million folks still without power so we're not alone.

We had a party at our house tonight, a bunch of folks in the neighborhood had nothing better to do but sit around and talk. We needed to get rid of a lot of meat that thawed, so we turned a bad situation into a block party. Andy would have been proud.

Curfew is in effect due to looters.

Thanks for all of the concern and prayers. Keep the later coming.

Louie OK in Alabama

Louie wanted us to pass on the word that he is OK after all the tornadoes that hit near his home. They will be without power for at least the next 5 days. They are unable to go to work or school due to the effects of the storm.

I'm thankful that Louie, Kim, and the kids are OK. Praise God!

Love you,
Tina :)

New Update

She is doing well and is happy to be home.

Check in on her on Wednesday to say hello.

Tuesday Update

Sorry, I didn't update this yesterday.

I visited Mom on Monday early evening. She was hoping to get checked out on Monday, but it was too cold. She had her IV updated, they were going to remove it, but since she had to stay they had to update it. She was doing good and was glad they kept her one more night.

Today, Tuesday, she is waiting to be checked out as of 3:00 PM. She will be leaving soon though as the doctor approved her going home. She is still going to be on antibiotics at home and still have oxygen. Her Oxygen level is up to 95 today and has been as high as 98.

Dad is waiting for the OK, and they will hit the road.
